I can scarcely believe our Elliott is 10 months old! This morning is Elliott's sedated echo. Due to a scheduling fiasco, we will have to wait until tomorrow for the results of the echo and the cardiology consult with E's new cardiologist.
We made the appointment in January. Initially, Elliott was supposed to be seen in March. However, we found out that his cardiologist was moving to Atlanta and no one else had availability until May or June. Then they called back and scheduled us with the chief on April 30th. It was changed by TCH to the 1st of May sometime in February. Then late last week, I received an email telling me to check my records online. There was a message stating the appointment scheduled for the 1st was rescheduled for the 31st of May! We had already made arrangements for travel and time off from work, not to mention emotional preparedness. Evidently, E's new doc has to travel out of the country, unexpectedly. Anyway, after a series of phone calls, we worked out a deal to have the echo this morning and consult tomorrow morning. The staff at TCH were so understanding and accommodating.
I am so proud of the little guy. He must be starved, having only had a few sips of water over 2 hours ago and no milk since 2 am. He is currently watching the traffic go by from his car seat. He looks so contemplative.
Meanwhile, daddy is driving and momma has been frantically calling her walk in speech kids to cancel therapy this morning. In the rush to have this appointment worked out and preemptively see Monday school-age kids, I completely forgot about my pre-school kids!
I will say that my blogging has slowed down considerably for several reasons:
1. The app keeps crashing. I have at least 5 updates saved that were never uploaded, despite multiple attempts.
2. Pictures have not been loading correctly.
3. It's a busy gig, working full time and playing with a 10 month old kiddo!
That said, if this post uploads, I will try to stay on top of it! I do post pics on fb, feel free to follow us there!
Much love to you all and thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!
